The “Vale” Drink: Vitamin D3, Apple Cider Vinegar, Lemon, & Elderberry
We’re all looking for ways to increase our energy, keep our skin looking radiant and glide our way towards optimum health. If your not “Valing” in the morning your body ecology is missing out on an opportunity to get ready for the day ahead. Vale is a little concoction I came up with that is so easy to make and once you have the ingredients stocked in your kitchen, they will last for months (well except the lemons – but you can get lemons anywhere).
How To Make Vale
– Pour warm water into a mug and leave an inch at the top (for the other ingredients)
– Squeeze 1/2 a lemon into the water
– 1-2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar (use Raw Unfiltered, if possible)
– 1 drop of Vitamin D3
– 10 drops of Fresh Elderberry
You might want to wait a few minutes before sipping to make sure the water is luke-warm and that the other ingredients have had a chance to properly mix. If you are not used to drinking Apple Cider Vinegar or lemon water the tangy-tart taste is going to take a few days to get used to. If you want to add some honey or stevia to sweeten it up – go for it. In the beginning I convinced myself that I loved this drink while I was transitioning from coffee to Vale. Fast forward to present and I look forward to a mug of Vale in the morning before I meditate. My body craves it.
The Vale Power
+ Vitamin D3 – Ladies, almost everything in our bodies relies on vitamin D. Harvard School of Public Health, has urged the government to raise its recommended daily amount of vitamin D for adults from 200 IU to at least 1,000 IU, possibly more since we are not getting enough of this important vitamin. + Apple Cider Vingar – This wonderful tonic has been used for centuries largely for medicinal purposes. There are so many reasons to use & drink ACV, but the one that stands out for the Vale drink is it aids your body in maintaining proper pH levels for a healthy alkaline state. And yes, it is also fantastic for your complexion
+ Lemons – Are a great way to kick start your digestion system. They are also very high in Vitamin C to keep you feeling awesome. If you want to read more about why you should consume more lemons, La Jolla Mom lists out the reasons.
+ Elderberry Herbal Supplement – Elderberry is used for its antioxidant activity, to lower cholesterol, to improve vision, to boost the immune system, to improve heart health and for coughs, colds, flu, bacterial and viral infections.
Drop me a line and let me know how you like your morning Vale.
Much love xx
