Skincare Nutrition: Gazpacho for Gorgeous Skin

Looking for a way to give your breakfast a kick and your skin a little glow? Try this tropical breakfast bowl with diced fruit, sliced avocado and a jalapenpo pepper to ignite clear beautiful skin and vroom vroom energy!

Avocados, which are actually classified as a fruit, are rich in monounsaturated fat that is easily burned for energy. They also provide close to 20 essential health-boosting nutrients, including potassium, vitamin E, B-vitamins, and folic acid. Avocados are Mother Nature’s skin moisturizer. With their healthy fats and phytonutrients, they offer remarkable benefits to your skin — both when eaten and when used topically.

Pineapple is full of vitamin C and manganese, which means plenty of antioxidant protection and immune system support. Vitamin C is an essential ingredient in collagen production.

Jalapenos are full of zest and spice! Some people may find it surprising that it’s the spice of the jalapeno pepper that can actually offer valuable health benefits including reducing inflammation and possibly contributing to a boost in your metabolism. Hola energy!

Recipe: Pineapple & Avocado Gazpacho for Gorgeous Skin

2 cups pineapple
1 avocado

1/2 to 1 jalapeño pepper

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 lime

Cilantro for a garnish


Remove the seeds and chop the jalapeño pepper.  Wearing gloves is a great idea when you do this so that you don’t risk your fingers burning, and be careful not to touch your face or eyes until you remove the gloves and wash your hands!

Squeeze the juice of one lime into a blender and add 1 cup of pineapple, half an avocado, half the jalapeño pepper and the sea salt.

Blend the mixture well.

Pour the mixture into a large bowl and mix in the remaining finely chopped 1 cup of pineapple, half an avocado and half the jalapeño pepper.

Add a little water if you prefer a thinner soup.
Garnish with the cilantro or sprouts and make sure the soup is chilled! Enjoy!

The RIGHT way to peel an avocado.
To preserve the area with the greatest concentration of antioxidants, you basically want to peel the avocado with your hands, as you would a banana:

  • First, cut the avocado length-wise, around the seed
  • Holding each half, twist them in the opposite directions to separate them from the seed
  • Remove the seed
  • Cut each half, lengthwise
  • Next, using your thumb and index finger, simply peel the skin off each piece
